Video game industry giants are showing off their present and upcoming games and tech for all to see. Many companies like Sony, Microsoft and Ubisoft have a pre E3 show the day before E3&#8217;s official start, colloquially known as &#8220;Day Zero&#8221;. That was yesterday. Today is the official opening day, so I decided I&#8217;d pounce on the Twitch stream and see what&#8217;s interesting at the expo.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"SectionTitle\">Gears of War 4<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;m a little bit torn here because I&#8217;m a little burnt out on Gears of War. As such, I haven&#8217;t really been interested in the last installment. However, I&#8217;m convinced that I&#8217;ll get a solid third person shooter so I may be jumping back on the Gears train for this iteration. Not to mention that the custom controller they showed off looks pretty sweet.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"SectionTitle\">Xbox Design Lab<\/h3>\n<p>Custom, <em>official<\/em>, Xbox One controllers? YES PLEASE. My wallet may not agree now (or ever, for that matter), but a part of me is completely psyched for this. Customization is ALWAYS a plus and although I have no real need for it as I have a white Xbox One and controller (I bought the Sunset Overdrive bundle when it debuted)  I want it. I just might give this a try.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"SectionTitle\"> Gran Turismo Sport<\/h3>\n<p>The first (and last) Gran Turismo experience I had was the first two games on PSOne. They intrigued and regaled me. They hurt and angered me. I quickly figured out that that was because it was a series that, at the time, was a much more realistic sim than others and I couldn&#8217;t drive to save my life. Needless to say, the announcement that the next installment will take more strides to teach beginners makes sad, 9 year old me happy.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"SectionTitle\">Horizon: Zero Daen<\/h3>\n<p>Robot dinosaurs. Tactical combat. schizo tech. Sign me up. I&#8217;m digging the aesthetics and what I&#8217;ve seen of the combat so far seems pretty fun. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"SectionTitle\">Destiny: Rise of Iron<\/h3>\n<p>More Destiny content, woo hoo! Sadly, I joined Destiny at the start of the The Taken King, then stopped playing because I&#8217;m a sad soul who doesn&#8217;t have friends to raid with. More&#8217;s the pity. Either way, a new campaign with more weapons and content to sift through sounds like a good chance to get back into the fray. <\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the lionshare of what I found interesting today. There&#8217;s others, but I&#8217;m still trying to process those (e.g. Agents of Mayhem, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, etc).
